As experienced homeexchangers we love that way of making holidays. Our home is a cute and comfortable house with a small garden and a sunny terrace. The equipement is conveniently for couples or small families. We also are interested in non-simultaneous exchanges. Our house is very good located in a historic and cultural interesting city, nearby further locations. We are a couple: I (Julia, 50 years old) am a social worker. Jens is 56 years old and businessman. Our children are grown up and don´t follow us usually. But there are two further inhabitants: Katie and Lara. They are our very lovely cats. It wouldn´t be necessary to feed them and take care about, but we can´t take them away - sorry if it´s a problem, maybe for allergicals.

Puntos de interes

In Braunschweig and around you find historic monuments, a lot of churches and monastries, museums (also interesting for children!), a shopping mall with 150 shops in a historic castle, offers for sports like swimming, canoeing, golf, tennis, soccer, basketball..., zoos, parcs, playgrounds.. Braunschweig is a green city with a lot of forests and parcs to make bicycle tours or for jogging and walking.
If you like hiking, climbing, or if you like to try rafting or montainbiking there are good offers in the "Harz". It´s a highland with mountains up to 1000 meters (3000 feet). There are also a lot of castles and chateaus to visit. The Harzer Schmalspurbahn is a great adventure for friends of history railroads. A "German Autobahn" makes it reachable in less than 1 h.
Around there are a lot of historic towns with charmeful places like Celle or Wolfenbüttel. To Berlin or Hamburg you can go in 1,5 h, and to the Baltic or Atlantic Sea in 3 h.

¿Como llegar?

Braunschweig is located nearby Hannover with an International Airport. From Hannover you can take a train or our friends can pick you up. Hannover is 50 km / 35 mi.
From Berlin you need 1,5 hours by train or by car. It´s 200 km / 130 mi. Hamburg is an other possibility with the same distance as Berlin. Other Airports are Frankfurt or Düsseldorf (both 300 km / 180 mi). The railwaystation in Braunschweig is just 20 min. by bus or by taxi from our house, but our friends would pick you up.
