Large Victorian Detached House
We are professionals with 3 children aged 19,16 and 12. Our home is a large Victorian house with spectacular view over Belhaven Bay and the Bass Rock. We have a large garden with lots of flowers. Our home is peaceful, private and comfortable. If you have young children we still have lots of games, toys and books for younger children. There are lots of activities locally, in particular golf and surfing. We like to walk, cycle and swim and we enjoy being near a city. There are lots of excellent local things for families to do, as well as charming seaside towns with boutiques, restaurants and beautiful beaches. We home exchanged in summer 2012 and find it a great experience.

Battlebent house is a great place to stay and we had very relaxing holidays there. We loved the big and nicely made garden (with a cat), as much as the big historic house, which was very welcoming!
Lo que más me gustó: As architects we appreciated the special building in a beautiful landscape with its room in different colors and firplaces with mirrors in a historic style. Emma and Paul are a very nice and friendly couple, we hope we can stay in contact.

When we arrived, our daughters asked me: mama, is this a castle? We had a great time in this beautiful large house with a spectacular english garden. We didn't meet Emma and her family because the exchange was simultaneous.
Lo que más me gustó: The beautiful beach that you can reach on foot or by bicycle. The generous hosts that left us good informations and their 6 bicycles ready to use and many useful things. The garden, the (3!) living rooms. You can do many things without going far.

It was wonderful and amazingly beautiful! Emma and Paul are very generous and loving and their home reflects a lot of love and soul. We had a very happy and fulfilling time in and around their home.
Lo que más me gustó: Walking to the beaches, exploring the past, visiting castles and ingenious rock formations and wandering through the landscape and little town and villages. And just sitting in the beautiful flowering garden and meeting the cat was very enjoyable.

Une magnifique maison, un jardin splendide reposant, une famille très accueillante et généreuse, un temps merveilleux (exceptionnel !). Emma a tout mis à notre disposition pour que nous passions un séjour agréable. Tout a été très simple à organiser.
Lo que más me gustó: Une maison tout près de la mer, une petit ville avec son joli port, des ballades et des parcs à proximité, golf, tennis, promenades, puis Edimbourg, les lochs. L'écosse est une belle région, il nous reste à visiter le nord !!!
